KodeMail ("we", "our", or "the app") is a native macOS client for Gmail published by Kodeora. This Privacy Policy explains what information KodeMail accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using KodeMail you agree to this policy.

Summary

What KodeMail accesses

KodeMail loads mail.google.com in a sandboxed WebKit view on your Mac. When you sign in to Gmail, your session cookies and tokens are stored in the macOS-managed WebKit cookie store for the app. KodeMail never reads, copies, or transmits these credentials. Your email content stays between you, Google, and your Mac.

KodeMail reads the following information locally to provide its features:

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, KodeMail uses macOS UNUserNotificationCenter to display new mail alerts. Notification content is generated locally on your Mac.

Purchases

Third-party services

KodeMail loads Gmail from Google. Your use of Gmail inside KodeMail is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. KodeMail is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC.

Children's privacy

KodeMail is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
